cloud might not be the right word, but any information stored online can be kept online permanently, even after you delete the information. we might not have called it the cloud back in 1996, but even info you put up (and deleted) back then can still be found, with the right resources.

once you add your correct location, you can also make it the default location and delete the previous default location. mine was off as well (though, only by about 20 miles).

ok, I think I've narrowed it down: it seems to only happen when you use anything but automatic for the windows color. can someone else test and verify?

I have discovered that changing the windows theme seems to affect this happening. it seems perhaps when I customize a theme, it happens, but when I use a theme's default settings, it's fine. I will experiment with it more and report any findings.

I get this as well. every 5-10 seconds a new button appears on the taskbar, with an icon resembling either windows explorer or some windows dialog box. all it takes is clicking anywhere on the taskbar and they will all close. they don't seem to hurt anything, but it's still an annoyance...
