I'm bumping this thread because I still can't resolve this. I was told by Vizio support that they use proprietary software provided by Microsoft for their touchapds, and that is impossible for me to disable this without completely uninstalling the driver and losing the ability to use the scroll...

The version I downloaded from the Vizio site was the same one Windows updater had already installed. 16.5.2

That's the problem. There is no option for PalmCheck anything. This is all I see:

Yep. It's also worth mentioning that the Windows 8.1 setting is also set to not disable the trackpad, and is continuing to lock it up.

Same result. Before I get to the actual installer, I'm getting this error: I've tried just hitting yes, and I've also tried a combination of uninstalling the existing driver.

I don not have that version, it looks like I've got 16.5.2. And there's no option for pointing or PalmCheck like in your picture.

I've tried everything I could think of. I've also got it disabled in 8.1's settings, but it still freezes up the track pad when I mash the keys:
