Thks for reply tried that also, I just did a fresh install , I figure either Bitdefender screwed things up or a bad dell driver or both.All is good with fresh install

These can be taken out by going to update software ,search manually and getting one not really for that item say yes to all and it will go away .

Thks guys for the help I had to do a clean install.I tried the driver update for the generic volume entry in device manger before the clean in stall and it said files are corrupt. So I said forget it clean install it is. Thks

Ok tried that and everytime I do that generic volume thing shows up in device manger with yello exclam beside it ,if I can get rid of that showing up in device manager the system restore will work..
