I am running a Windows 8 RP Build 8400 machine, and it freezes hard a few times a day. It used to be terrible until I completely eliminated the Page Files on my HDDs, and disabled C-States to allow my processor to run at my OCed 3.8 Ghz all the time.

I love the fix. And I just have my BIOS set to stock settings atm, because I wanted to keep things simple while messing with 8. Funnily enough, if I'd've just kept my crazy OC settings, I wouldn't be crashing.
