KYHI, having looked over this again the link you have given is for an older driver (Jan 2014) whereas the link I provided is for the latest driver (Dec 2014), which according to the supported operating systems is for Windows 8.1: Dell Wireless 1705 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver Driver Details | Dell UK

This is what Dell done remotely. If I do this again and I cannot install the new driver will I be able to reinstall the old driver given that I will not be able to access the internet.
