OneDrive uninstalled but some programs still expect it

I uninstalled OneDrive a while back, but some programs flash up a warning that it can't be found when saving new files. Looking at the registry, I find numerous references to One Drive (and its predecessor, SkyDrive), so it seems to be embedded in Windows, even though I thought it was removed...

    Outlook 2013 excessive CPU usage

I haven't had the problem with Word or Excel. I need the Office suite, so I'm unable to remove it. Also, I don't use Metro apps -- I'm strictly a desktop user -- but it's interesting you have the same problem, and I agree about the overheating concern.

Windows 8.1 x64 There are some programs that when I install them appear to hang when they're most of the way through the install. A current example is Hotspot Shield. I've unregistered and reregistered MSIexec, to no effect. I've run sfg/scannow and the system integrity is 100%. When I check...

Solved Black screen after installation of 8.1 from scratch

[Deleted] Black screen after installation of 8.1 Too rapid a display of the "Press any key..." message prevented me from booting from the installation disk. Now reset the PC. EDIT: By a process of elimination I discovered that the Asus video accelerator driver was the culprit.
