My first start screen, only been using windows 8 for 1 month, kind of plain and simple.

Apparently they will be skipping windows 9 and making the jump to windows 10, do you think we will be able to update in the App Store? It's due to be released in the middle of next year!

Had the acer laptop a day now and I'm loving it. Very quick and battery life is brilliant. Managed to get 6.5hrs out of yet yesterday. Very impressed

As I pick up my new lAptop tomorrow I'm guessing it will only come with anti virus trial. Can anyone recommend any good anti virus protecters? Are free anti virus such as avg any good?

The acer laptop has just went down to £350, that's decent for an i5 IMO

Light gaming, minecraft, football manager 2014 (UK game) photoshop and microsoft word, Netflix and YouTube. That's what I'll be using it mostly for.

So will the 1.7ghz just boost upto 2.5ghz because I know 1.7ghz isn't the best for gaming.

Would I be able to play some games with 1.7ghz with 2.7ghz boost? Intel HD graphics 4400?

What about a Lenovo G505s AMD A10 8gb ram would this be faster than the i5 4210u please help me guys I need to pick a new laptop up tomorrow I'm worried I'll regret my decision

It's an i5 processor.

So this laptop seems pretty slow until it hits the boost. I'm disappointed by that. I thought 1.7ghz was decent.

Apparently the intel boost hits 2.7ghz when does the boost kick in?
