Seems I spoke too soon. Upon rebooting the PC I cannot set it to 1920x1200 again even when using extended desktop. The monitor is now detected as "Display device on: VGA" instead of VK266H I suppose I could uninstall the monitor driver again but it's not something I would want to do every time...

[UPDATE]: I seem to have fixed the problem. I uninstalled the monitor driver in Device Manager, disconnected the monitor, rebooted using the internal notebook screen, connected the external Monitor, then set the Monitors to Extended Desktop... 1920x1200 is back! I'm not going to try installing...
