Do you think copying the wifi profile from a known working machine would work?

Tried under hidden networks. Typed the SSID exactly, no password, no WAP, still no success. Can still connect with iphone but not Win8.

Ran the troubleshooter. I found a wifi signal but not the one I am trying to connect to. New solution?

Still trying I went into network sharing center and did a manually connect to wireless network. When I did that, the next screen showed the one with that name already exists. Either use existing or choose a different name. I tried using existing and it didn't show up in the list. If I...

I accidentally selected to forget this wireless network. I manually tried connecting again but it does not show up in the list. Any suggestions?
