what do i do now i dont have a format cd or anything :/ store is miles away from me :/

well i got my new 500 gig HDD and i put it in =.= said no os installed.. do i need to buy format cd or not.. coz the store is freaking far away from me.

if i change the HDD do i still need to buy a windows 8 format disk or can i use it straight on my laptop and would it automatically install from there?

i will try to get a new one and throw some updates here.. any advice on what i should get?

3days ago.. i woke up then opened my acer aspire v5 laptop on my sleepy head i saw nothing but loading screen.. checked the bios and i can see the HD FROZEN! tried everything possible and what i can find in the Web.. acer recovery wont show up (alt + f10), CMD showing X: and when i use diskpart...
