Hopefully when windows 8 full version is released they give you the option. Sort of like during HPs webOS period when you would boot a new HP laptop it asked you if you wanted to try web os, it should prompt if you want the windows 8 metro UI or classic start menu.

I turned this off right away, slows down the PC way too much on what is otherwise a very fast OS. Just open the action center, click the arrow next to maintenance, and click change maintenance settings. You can turn it off from there. Note: This will not work while maintenence is being performed.

I am having the same problem. I found and downloaded the legacy drivers for my card, but they won't install because the amd software can't find the card. It has disappeared from device manager and been replaced with Microsoft generic display adapter.

People that can't drive for rubbish.
