Intel have said there will be no USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver from them, and that its down to MS to provide one. There is another thread on here with the solution. There are hacked Windows 7 drivers and instructions on how to install them. It works perfectly.

I really dont get all the negative stuff about Windows 8. I admit i dont really like metro it but as i boot in to Desktop i never see it. Even my 8 year old son hasn't mentioned the new OS since i upgraded from 7, he just get on with it as most things are still in the same place, all his games...

I went and got a Lexar card reader and it works fine, plus it seems a bit faster than the Kingston. Ive got some hacked Intel drivers for USB3 now so ill give the Kingston another go tonight and post back.

Whats all this fuss about. If you are supplied with a certain OS why on earth is it "news" that the supplier wont give support for something else, something that it hasn't supplied.
