A lot of people bought the Dell Venue 8 pro and other similar devices so that they could have a full OS and a tablet. If MS is taking that away from them by banning the Desktop mode I can foresee a court case in the future. It would in fact mean they were sold something under false pretences...

I have done that and did not meet with great enthusiasm.... I am now going to buy another programme that is compatible! It works on my Windows 7 pc but I need something that will work on 8.1 as I have now embraced it wholly.

It's a web design program that was written for Windows 8 and they've not updated it yet. Will use it on my Windows 7 machine...
