Sounds cool. I will give it a try. Problem now is that the install seems to be hanging after the first reboot. Does all the setup and copying files etc. Reboots then sort of hangs in as much as the windows 7 logo is pulsating with that deathly greenish tint and says starting Windows underneath...
This is my hard drive at the moment.
The win7 partition was made without disabling security.
Am I now OK to proceed to disable security and install
BTW I made the partition using Computer Management suite.

1. Make a partition
2. Disable secure boot in the Bios
3. Install win7 to the partition.

Hi Gregrocker. I have just found this forum and it may be the answer to my problem. Every where I have searched says its impossible to install win7 on a partition of a win8 machine. I see that you have done it. Could you point me some links on how to please. I have a Lenovo g580 with windows 8...
