I use a MS Surface 3 (the newer- cheaper vrs). Never had a problem with cut/paste. Look in your computer Mfg website for newer, updated drivers for 8.1. :rolleyes:

Usually the problem with new OS's - is not the OS, it's getting hw drivers that are compatible with whatever computer the OS is on. Saying that, I'll probably upgrade the MS Surface 3. The Toshiba laptop... I'll wait until it's stabilized i.e. give them time to develop the drivers for it...

Ya... I should have used Bitlocker on the previous tablet that got the power/charging connection problem. Because I did not, I can't return my still-under-warranty tablet for replacement. Maybe it's just paranoia, but I don't want to be vulnerable like that with my personal id/password files...

In the bottom-left of the Control Panel | Windows Update (among other places), there is a link that allows a 8.1 user to upgrade their system. What do you think? To me... not worth it. I would consider it though- if it was 1/2 the price. :confused:

Oh, nevermind. Found it in the expanded Start menu. Right mouse-clicked on it, then clicked on 'uninstall'.

Installed this app from Windows Store. Now cannot delete. Program is made by Antara Software I set a one-time alarm, that keeps repeating. Uuuggghhhh! It's behaving like a virus, in that it's Not listed in Control Panel | Programs Using Windows 8.1 help...

You didn't set 8.1 to work properly with non touch, gestures are not needed to work with the mouse. ok. Didn't know that those could be changed/configured(?) Because you're right... gestures do not work at all with a mouse. It was hard to move the mouse into the left / right corners and sides...
