What I meant is not that both 32bit and 64bit versions comes in one application, but an application that has two separate versions, one for 32bit only and one for 64bit only. I choose to download and install the 64bit only version and still it shows as 32bit that's what is confusing me.

Just programs I installed that have both 32 & 64bit versions, I always choose the 64bit version, but in Windows 8 it shows as 32bit version just seems weird to me and you're right I did have an application that causes the desktop screen to show up.

System Type? / Startup Hi, This is kinda weird for me, my system type is shown as "64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor", but when I run Task Manager and under Processes all the programs are shown as (32 bit) even the 64bit ones I've installed myself. Does Windows 8 change it from 64bit...
