Having issues w/ Triple Monitor Setup (DisplayPort issue?)

Hey All, So I'm running 2xR9 290X (crossfire) with 3xQnix Qx2710 monitors. One of the qnix monitors was purchased with HDMI/DisplayPort connectors along with the usual DVI connector (normally these monitors only come with the D-DVI input) I had a 2 monitor (with just the two DVI-only...

    Windows 8.1 - Won't boot (0xc000000f), bcdedit fails

I’m pretty much stuck at this point. So, backstory: Windows was installed on one of the SSDs currently in my tower. I bought a new SSD to install Windows (8.1 64 bit) on. Windows installation went fine, booted up, and formatted the old SSD from within Windows (this seems to have been a mistake...

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

In your tutorial you talk about creating a Start screen shortcut that can then be put in the startup folder. Do you know of a way to do the same thing, but with a shortcut for the desktop? (since the desktop itself kinda works like an app)

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

Exactly. I really want to use the metro UI, but I need to use my desktop. Being thrown to one or the other unexpectedly is rather annoying. I don't understand why maintaining focus at the very least isn't already enabled. @ Brink - so, playing with what you suggested, the problem is that...

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

Yeah I mean, I could just not use the metro UI at all, which I understand, especially since most of the programs I use have desktop versions. But I actually like the apps in a number of cases and am a fan of the metro ui / start screen overall. Some of their decisions are just a bit odd /...

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

haha that's my fault, I originally had it as Win8 (when I read your post I realized I hadn't been clear and changed it)

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

Hmm, yes that's moving in the right direction. I believe I will still need to use something like DisplayFusion, though, to get the full taskbar on my "desktop" monitor (since this is actually my "main" monitor, but my secondary monitor will be set to "main" to get the effect that you described...

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

I understand that. But, for example, my Skype notifications will pop up on my main monitor (which I usually have set to the desktop), and when I click on the notification rather than simply pulling the Skype app up to the top of the monitor it's on (my second monitor), it makes the Skype app...

Multiple Monitor - Different Behavior on Each Monitor

So, I'm finding myself pretty disappointed in the way that MS has dealt with multi-monitor support. They're moving in the right direction I guess, but still not what I'm ideally looking for, meaning it's time to start looking for 3rd party alternatives (as I did with Win7). So, my ideal setup...
