Turns out the thorough memory diagnostics test shows a faulty hard drive. Contacted Dell and demanded to be dealt with as I paid for my warranty, and they have sent a technician to replace the HDD on Tuesday :)

Well I finally got Windows 8 installed, but I am now back to square one. The problem that started it all. The computer is running extremely slow. Windows installation took over 5 hours to complete, I had to leave it over night to install. Now that it's installed, I've been waiting over 2 hours...

I've tried the Dell forum and nobody replies. I know how to install windows, I'm just having trouble doing it on UEFI. EDIT: I figured it out. Got it running now :)

My Windows 8 OS was damaged so I tried to reinstall it using the installation disk. But when I got to the part that asks me to select a disk drive, it tells me there are no disk drives and asks if I want to load drivers from a CD. I tried entering my Dell drivers disk but it said no drivers...

Now i've bumped into another problem. I've loaded Mini windows xp on Hirens boot cd, but don't seem to be able to locate the main hard drive, again it is definitely working as diagnostics shows it working fine. I am also in legacy mode as that is the only way I could get hirens boot cd running.
