How do you pin shortcuts to Windows 8.1? If you right click pin to start nothing happens????

I have had similar problems but think it could be related to the wireless driver. I fixed it by resetting "fast startup" When using Windows 8 "fast startup" the OS caches certain system information. My guess is this caches information about the drivers which can lead to driver issues. Anyway...

Have you tried setting it to never notify via the Control Panel: Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings. You can close 8 Apps by alt-f4.

Hello. I have enabled the account lookout threshold via the GPO on Windows 8 however it does not seem to work with Microsoft Accounts. I wondered if anyone had managed to get it to work with Microsoft Accounts or if there is any third part or registry tricks to enable it. Thank You
