Yep. Looked at that and at many other sites. It's like a curse... I had this problem with my previous laptop as well, it turned out to be the ACPI. This time it is the USBPORT.sys I guess, or at least that's what I thought by looking at the .etl file and LatencyMon.

Tried already at no avail. Disabled everything in the "Network Adapters" section, just to be sure . I mentioned the card reader because I had read somewhere that in rare cases it could be the culprit.
Oops, you're right. Just added them now! Apart from the ones I mentioned in the specs, the laptop also comes with a card reader and bluetooth module. I got my bluetooth module disabled, but I'm not really sure on how to disable the card reader (can't find anything in device manager)...
I used both LatencyMon and xperf which gave me similar results. I tried DPC Latency Checker as well out of curiosity (since they say it doesn't work well on windows 8) and it shows a much worse situation (constant 1ms DPC latency at least, with occasional 5ms spikes).
When I play audio or video it works just fine. The problem arises when I use my Digital Audio Workstation. The cracks/pops are frequent, and often, after 10 minutes or so, it dropouts.
