System Mechanic pro also had a few issues. 1. It ran in 16 bit too, (not that considered that a problem really..) 2. Windows would not recognize the anti-virus program as one, so it thought I was running without an antivirus...:think: So I re-installed Bitdefender. No "winload" issues so...

Well I kinda gave up on repairing this PC with the Install disk..The program just doesn't want to run.. Here is my sitch and what I am going to do..in time ;) Windows 8.1 64 bit PC with one drive I will replace the drive with an identical one. Reload the software, antivirus, and get it all...

You need /image:c:\ I believe.... Yes Z that is what i used when I first had partial success. Im just about ready to get a new disk and build it fresh...The old disk has a few copies of old drives..and if I dont want to low level format the seagate... Well I would rather just buy a new one...

Got to the /windows/system32 prompt, but the command still errored out. :eek: Its no wonder that people just wipe the disk and do a whole new install..or replace the disk..:shock: I am an old PC tech so I would rather replace the disk, than get rid of all my "old" stuff. Low level format to...
