Hello. I have windows 8.1 and I have noticed that my externall hdd turns off after a few mins of being idle (The led turns off as well.), but I can still see it on the windows explorer and it turns on again when I click on it. Is that normal ? It doesn't happen on Windows 7 Thanks.

It's a mech sata drive. I have 3 partitions, tried with a different one it optimized it without problems, but when I try with the C one it just analize and then stops as if I had clicked the analize button instead the optimize one.

I tried that and didn't work :(

Hello. I just updated my windows 8 to 8.1 a few days ago and now when I try to optimize the C drive it just analize it and then stops. It says that the drive is 10% fragmented. In windows 8, I always optimized it without any problem. What can I do ?
