Great, Glad it worked for you. I did notice that the ATI driver gave 7.1 sound, as this was what I was after also. I struggled to get a driver to load & replace microsofts so used the hardware ids in the driver info page to find the compatible drivers...

Microsoft's own drivers only play stereo. I updated microsoft's drivers using this download "motherboard_driver_audio_realtek_azalia-ati" this then allowed me to update to the latest realtek 2.70 version. Regards Bart
