Hello genius's (or genii?)
I have an Acer Aspire 5733, on which has a 640GB HDD. On that I have Windows 7 home premium. I've just Installed Windows 8 Release Preview on a VHD on the internal HDD, and to do that, (on windows 7) went into Disk Management and created 50GB VHD, which I attached. I then made a Windows 8 DVD, which I put into the drive and booted from. I got up to the HDD selection, and I tapped SHIFT + F10. I then typed DISKPART and then (w/o quotes) "Select vdisk file c:\Win8.vhd" and "attach vdisk" and then ALT+TABed back to the HDD selection screen. I pressed re-fresh and chose my 50GB VHD. I then installed to that drive. After it had installed, I successfully got into Windows 8. I found that the windows 7 was missing in the BCD so I installed EasyBCD and added Windows 7 and the location of the installation. I then re-booted the laptop to get onto Win7, but it came up with the error 0x0000248. And the digital driver can't be signed (or something like that).

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
Edit: I have managed to get the Blue windows 8 OS selector when I turn on the computer, but windows 7 still fails to load properly

In Windows 8:
1. Download and install Visual BCD Editor. It comes with "Dual-boot Repair" tool.
2. Run Dual-boot Repair
3. Click on "Repair BCD" - RepairBCD.png
4. For Windows 7 folder select d:\windows - assuming Windows 7 is mapped to d:. Click OK.
5. Reboot
Windows 7 should boot.

To add Windows 8 if missing in BCD:
1. Attach VHD
2. Run Dual-boot Repair - "Automatic Repair".
This will make Windows 8 boot by default.

How to add recovery on F8 - advanced boot options:
Dual-boot Repair tool - Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista - second part of page.
(Repeat when booted to Windows 7 to add its own recovery on F8, and in Windows 8 to add its own recovery.)

1) Repair Win 7 boot files.
here "Win 7 folder" is where Win 7 is installed
2) Repair Win 8 boot files.
here "Win 7 folder" is where Win 8 is installed (VHD must be attached).

Repair of boot files is best done with bcdboot.exe utility.
"Visual BCD Editor" and "Dual-boot Repair" utilties have both the same GUI "Repair BCD" which uses bcdboot.

On command line the syntax is:
(for best result - start Win 8 installation DVD/USB and go to repair-command line)

bcdboot c:\windows - you have execute this command twice
first - substitute c: to Win 7 drive,
then to Win 8 drive (VHD must be attached via diskpart)
