I'm sure we will find out in a few weeks when we can legally get our hands on a copy we know is completely untouched, but with it being RTM you would expect it to be stable or they wouldn't of RTM'd it.

It has been stable for me, but it does expire I believe in Jan. So you won't be able to use it for that long on your machine before you have to make a change.

Coming back to the topic:

I am using win8 on 2 machines, and I can't see any major unstability issues, so you should be happy with it as well.
Your system spec - I can't see any 'exotic' devices, that could have problems with drivers :)
Even if there will be something - you can try to force installation of older driver (got tv tuner installed this way with vista drivers)

They fixed the dynamic Tick issue that was causing freezing for a lot of users.

Stability really depends on your components.

My laptop is very stable, but my soundcard causes issues on my desktop and that's solely down to poor driver support.

If it shutdowns/restarts without issue and doesn't freeze while using it - you'll be good to go :)

(btw, you're missing a c in switching in your OS field ;) )

The only think that annoys me on RP is that I couldnt get AutoCAD 2012 installed (2011 works fine).
