You can probably install it to vhd - copy the vhd to usb and boot it that way.

To brag to people that you have a pocket full of Windows!
That was my excuse for Windows 7 on a flash drive and 8. I use 8 as a separate system to diagnose laptop/netbook/and possibly tablet related issues, such as a dead battery that I don't have details about since the hard drive is damaged.

I would think 32gb flash drive would be enough - whatever size vhd will fit on there.

Cool. The tutorial I saw on this forum on booting from USB did not involve VHD. Do you think there is any advantage to using a VHD?
