A friend built me a computer last year, an installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Unfortunately it seems I cannot upgrade to Windows 10. I'm looking for a way to uninstall 8.1 Enterprise so that I can get Windows 10, but I'm just not sure how to go about doing so.

Any guidance is appreciated - thanks!

I don't think you can "convert" Enterprise to another version such as Home or Pro. You will have to do a new install using a valid (legal) version of Win 7 or Win 8.1 Home or Pro.

As you will have to buy a new version, may be just as well to buy Win 10.
