I had problems during the installation with these files:
spwizimg.dll
spwizres.dll
installprep.exe

Because they have been downloaded badly and I can not go forward with the installation. Those who have succeeded to install "Windows 8 Release Preview x64 English Version", could pass them to me please?
they are in the folder "Sources" of "Windows 8 Release Preview x64 English Version" iso file.
Thanks

Why not just download the ISO again and burn a new disk?

Because it is a big download.

You don't need to bother with that.

Just apply the install.wim with imagex then run bcdboot command- much faster and more flexible.

Imagex means a big download too - but fortunately you don't even need imagex - use DISM instead - which you don't need to download:

"For those that are put off by a long download to obtain imagex.exe, it is possible to apply the Windows install.wim image using dism.exe - which is found in your c:\Windows\system32 folder.

dism /apply-image /imagefile:d:\sources\install.wim /index:1 /applydir:t:\

this is absolutely equivalent to:

imagex /apply d:\sources\install.wim 1 t:

and takes a similar time to apply the image. ~20 min"

Another means to extract files from a Wim image is using 7-Zip use the 9.27 alpha version on Windows 8 wims, 9.20 seems to fail sometimes

Hi, can you please tell me where to enter that command, while doing a clean install? Many thanks :)

thanks for all the advices, but nothing to do. It doesn't work. I'm not versed in these things.
Could you simply pass me those files that I mentioned at the beginning of thread, if you've installed with success win8 RP x64 eng? That would be grateful!
