Solved Multi boot menu only shows apon restart

Hi...I have six windows systems and have a boot menu created with EasyBCD...the Pc gives me the options to choose which system I want apon Pc restart...however when shutting down PC and then Starting up the PC goes to the previous system and not to the boot menu...so I have to 'Restart' to get to the boot menu in order to choose which system I want.. ..Windows 8.1 is the default....it used to boot to menu always ...thanks.*john

This will occur if you have Fast Startup enable in Windows 8. The fast startup option is like hibernate and when you shut down, it restarts as if it is from hibernate. Hence no boot menu.

Restart eliminates the fast start to enable system updates, etc. and a boot menu then appears.

Oh Really?...ok I will look into that...I guess my Windows 10 are set to 'Fast start-up'...they are always the last system running....thanks will check it out.*john

O.k...done I changed the Fast Start-up in Windows 10 and system booted to boot menu...thanks for the help.*john
