update to windows 10

Hello I have a HP pavilion g6 with windows 7 home premium service pack 1 which from the info: I have read is
what I need to get free windows 10 upgrade but when I try it says I don't qualify but I thought windows 7 service pack 1 did qualify . can I get this upgrade to win 10? I checked the updates I needed and found them so I have all the updates

Curious, why are you asking about upgrading a Windows 7 computer to Windows 10 in a Windows 8 forum?
