Well I've just spent the last week trying to work this out.
In the general support we decide the problem to my computer not booting is a faulty hard drive. So I cleaned the faulty hard drive and tried install windows on it so see if it wasn't the problem. It didn't install windows so I decided to use a different hard drive. This hard drive has worked before but when I try install windows on it it comes up with error 0x80070057. The same error I get on the 'faulty' hard drive. I'm not doubting any of the people that have helped me (Thanks axe0 for all your help, I can't thank you enough). It's just that it has boggled me and I hope that this section will have more experience with the problem.

This is the post from general support if you want to see what has happened.
