I recently copied my windows 8 recovery files from an SD card- i know that the .wmi file is necessary to install and recover Windows 8 but it's not visible in there. Considering that "Source" file is 5.70 GB i used Winrar to open that source file and could view install.wmi in winrar but not normally by going to that directory.

Is there any way that i could view this file without winrar?

won't work that way and anyways i got the recovery done by copying all the files to the SD card and then booting from there.
