I bought an HP Omni 27 system several years ago. It came with Windows 7 installed, but was able to install Windows 8 Pro free as soon as it was released. I opted to get the CD for the OS with the system. So, I did upgrade to Windows 8. After the upgrade, one of the Windows 8 Updates took it to Windows 8.1.
I recently tried to refresh the OS and was told to insert the system disk. So I did, and got a message that the disk was invalid. Is there any way for me to get this OS to refresh without losing any programs or files? I'm kind of stumped as to how do do this, or if it's even possible.
Thanks,
Dave
