If you're crafty enough to get me the bsod crash dump of it, I should probably be able to tell you what specifically caused it.

Boot to any kind of Linux live disc like Knoppix. Zip the files at that location then attach here.
If you are attempting dual boot with another Windows, you can access it from there.
Make sure the drive is formatted as NTFS. Also from within other Windows if you have, run this command on it from an elevated prompt:
chkdsk /r X:
where X = its driver letter.
Or attach the drive to another machine so you can run that command on it.
