Hello guys.
I just erased my whole disk drive and I created a single unpartitioned space to my hard drive using GParted(
http://gparted.org) usb stick (which proves that this system can boot from usb).
The problem is that whenever I try to boot from my usb drive (fat32) to try either windows 10 technical preview or windows 8.1 the system bypass the usb stick and displays the message Missing Operating System (because it arrives at the 3rd boot option, the internal hard drive - 1st is external device and 2nd is the optical disk).
Any ideas?
Thank you.

You can't make a bootable usb of any version of Windows only linux, you CAN though make an install disk.

So how can I use the windows 10 technical preview iso so that I can install it from a usb stick?

Use the bootcamp assistant - just take the first option to make the USB and that should work..

I can't even reach this screen of bootcamp assistant...
Bootcamp assistant is on your mac, not on the PC... You can use it to make a bootable USB from your Windows 10 ISO.

Oh well. Does you mac have a superdrive? It doesn't let you make the bootable USB in that case - only a DVD. If so you could burn the ISO to a DVD that would be the easiest.

I'm not sure about manually creating the disk in OSX. Your PC isn't seeing the USB as bootable so you could perhaps try formatting it as MBR before doing the dd in your link. In disk utility create one FAT32 partition then click on options and "master boot record". You might also need to set the partition as active which you can do with gparted.

If that doesn't work I'd install Windows 10 in a VM and then use Rufus (or borrow someone else's PC if that is possible).

You have mavericks? You'll need to re-sign the program as you've changed the plist according to comments in here burgua • Create bootable Windows 7 USB Stick using Bootcamp...

You need to make a self-signed code signing certificate in keychain access and then use codesign command to sign the changed bootcamp assistant application bundle.

There are details of how to do that here How to re-sign Apple's applications once they've been modified - MacNN Forums - it is much easier than it looks - only takes a couple of minutes.
