I run a small computer business and a customer asked me to replace a hard drive. Being a novice I did not make a recovery usb before using Paragon to clone the hard drive. After I cloned the hard drive neither the new hard drive or the original hard drive would boot. I also can not access the files on either hard drive using the Windows OS. I can access the files in Linux and it seems that all files are there. Anyone have an idea how I fix this?

Or you could try fixing it with Bootable Windows 8.1 recovery tools in KYHI signature

Did you check them out? You are the first person to ever comment about them..

What bothers me is the fact the OLD drive would not boot - I could see the clone not working as intended - but the OLD drive should not have been affected in any way..

You may want to re-install just the old drive - and try to "Repair This Computer" by booting to windows setup media..

This bothered me also, this is why I came to the forum for help. The problem is now solved. To restore the original HDD I had to use EasyRE software to repair the boot files. Once I did that I completely abandoned the cloning software and obtained the product key and did a reinstall.

I do not know what happened during the cloning, I had several read errors during the process but I do not know how that affected the original hard drive.

Thank you two for your responses.
