Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk And Press Enter

I have recently bought a computer off a friend. He bought all the parts separately and built it himself. It worked fine when he was using it. I bought it off him but I had to get a new hard drives. I bought an SSD and a HDD as well as the full version of Windows 8.1. Once I set everything up, I turned the PC on and inserted the 64-bit Windows 8.1 installation disk. It then comes up:

Verifying DMI Pool Data ............
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

Does anyone know how to fix this or where the problem may lie? Im not very good with computers so you might have to bear with me. I will provide you with any additional information if you need it. I just want to get this thing sorted.

See this at TechNet. You'll need to go into BIOS and change boot options.

Hi, thanks for responding. I've had a look at the link you sent and I have tried to change the BIOS boot options to the order he recommended and the default. Both of these failed to resolve the problem. Also, the only disk in the PC is the 64-bit Windows 8.1 installation disk. This disk does work as I tried it in my laptop which is what I am on now. Do you have any other suggestions?

In BIOS are both your SSD & HDD showing up? Do you have it set to AHCI? And is there a setting to set BIOS to OS optimized settings(only if the PC motherboard came prepared for Windows 8)?

Yes, both my SSD and HDD are showing up in Hard Disk Boot Priority. I don't know what AHCI is or how to set it at that and I don't see any option for OS optimized settings but I'm not sure whether it came prepared for Windows 8.
