hi to all dear friends

I have an asus s200 laptop with original windows 8 on it.
recently days my windows does not open anymore and show me this message: "Preparing Automatic Repair" and after some seconds show me this message: "Diagnosing Your PC" and after some seconds show me a blue page with this caption: "Automatic Repair" and have two buttons: "shut down" and "advanced options"

in usual way when I want to reset or refresh my windows in blue page I goto troubleshot and then click on "refresh your pc" or "reset your pc"

but now when I click on these buttons show me this error:
there was a problem refreshing your pc. no changes were made.
there was a problem resetting your pc. no changes were made.

I searched in google but dont find any right solution :((

My Computer

System One

  • OS
    win xp
from command prompt

Type> diskpart
type> select disk 0
type> list volume

you will see a lot of volumes without drive letters assigned..
Now find the 10-20GB volume #

type> select volume # (# being the volume number without a drive letter)
type> assign letter=r

type> exit (to exit diskpart)

you can now Browse thru R and find Install.wim or Install.swm(s) - those are your Factory recovery Images..

type> c:\windows\system32\Reagentc /Setosimage /Path R:\RecoveryImage /Target C:\Windows /Index 1

Assuming the install* file(s) are on "R" and in a folder called "RecoveryImage"

Note: Change "drive letter" and "folder name" to suit your system setup

Boot back into recovery and see if it will refresh
