I had a customer that brought a HP Laptop Windows 8, I did a clean install, When installing 8.1 after reboot it stays loading on reboot on HP Logo and the wheel keeps spinning like its loading but it never gets past that and the wheel never stops spinning!! i let it set there over night in total of 12hours and it stays there.. Before doing the Clean install of Windows 8 I ran Partition Wizard Surface test and no bad sectors were found.. Has anybody experience this issue before this is my first time and i Done a couple Windows8/ 8.1 Clean Installs.

Thanks for looking..

I will try that tomorrow, but from previous experience i was not able to install 8.1 through a clean install on a machine that came from factory with windows 8, i had to go thought the hole updating procedure to get 8.1, But i will give it a shot i have nothing to loose and a lot to gain,.

Very Happy they did that, When windows 8 came out i went and bought 8,32/8,64/ same thing with Pro.. That was alot of Money but i saw as tools for the shop!!! So i'm glad that they now provide iso's also that is great!!

Anyways the re install was successful with Windows 8.1 but from time to time when just rebooting the HP Laptop it just stays loading on the HP Logo!! I have to Manually shut it off, Than it boots fine to the Desktop, I'm thinking this might be a Ram Issue Now are a a driver not loading!! I have until Sunday to work on it for my Client!!

But we now its not a Windows 8.1 update problem Now!!
I guess we are done on this section of the forums!! Maybe this topic would fit the general section!!

Repeatedly tap the ESC key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu. Select the Bios option ( usually f10 ) and under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab you should find the facility to run tests on both the Hard Drive and Memory.

I've never seen that happen but I do know from previous experience and computer reviews a lot of computer brands have some bad units in there product lines these days.
