Program not on the uninstall list

Hello,

I just installed a program which I thought is what I needed, but it turned out to be useless, and not only that, it actually seems to be a trojan horse or some kind, because I can not find it in the uninstall list on control panel.
I've also downloaded Revo Uninstaller, but that did not help.
I'm afraid it infected my Windows 8 machine with some sort of a virus.
Is there a way to delete that from my machine?

thank you!

It was just a thought because portables don't show up in the uninstall list, neither do apps from App Store.

Is it an App or desktop program ? Maybe Malwarebytes can get rid of it.

So, even Mbam doesn't consider it a PUP. Maybe you can find where the program is installed and delete it's folder and files to Recycle Bin and see if something may complain about it, give you some warnings etc. If that happens you can always restore from RB and look for other means to get rid of it.
P.S.
Maybe you can also try Revo in "Hunter Mode" or "Forced uninstall" but you'll have to find where program is installed .

If you can still run it, you could try Process Explorer (from Microsoft TechNet) and see if Virus Total(a cloud based AV tool that check using multiple AVs) finds anything and also where/what it's using(registry keys, DLLs, threads...etc.) in the system(if you have to manually uninstall it). Also you can look in resource monitor and see if you can find anything, and look for it's name in services to turn it of in case it installed a service(such as a phone home updater). Last but not least on my list is using Geek Uninstaller in safe mode and force uninstall.

If you can load/run the program your trying to uninstall right click it in process explorer and choose properties to see where in the system it's embedded: registry keys, DLLs, services if any, under image it shows you the path, right click again and upload it to Virus Total and check for malware and much more(kill process, kill whole process tree...etc.)

I did run the program, and it does show in the Process Explorer, how do I find which registry key it is?
I think it is too complicated to uninstall it that way.
Is there any other option to try and uninstall this weird program?

With the path you can force uninstall with REVO. Did you check using the right click virus total upload option in process explorer if it is/contains malware? because if it is then your best option would be a refresh(I do not like that option either, that's why I have created a custom one that keeps my programs and I use Macrium Reflect now for my monthly images).

Oh boy it does show a few reds on the Virus Total list, (Although on every red, only 1 antivirus detecs something so maybe it's just false)
I guess I should backup all of my photos and clean reinstall.
How does it work with my pre installed Windows 8? Do I just press the ONEKEY RECOVERY button on my Lenovo laptop?

Then that's not going to do anything, then see this. You'll be better served doing a refresh if you made your recovery drive View attachment 57327
After you get your system set up you can then either make a system image using onekey or get (better yet) macrium reflect and set it up for weekly or like me monthly images.
