What should this setting be on Device installation Setting
So i was looking around and i noticed my device Installation setting is not set on recommended but only set on No let me choose what to do and then Always install the best driver software from windows update, and then set on automatically get the device app and info by your device manufacture here is a picture of it, my ? is it fine like this as i don't want wired drivers installing. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have the same settings as yours. Windows will find a driver update but will not automatically install it since I set the automatic updates to notify but not download/install. If you choose not, Windows won't check your hardware and look for drivers. You have to manually go to the manufacturer's site to obtain the latest version.

Thanks it was on never for some reason and i changed it not sure how it got on that lol was always wondering why i never got updates for stuff anymore, maybe my kid changed it or something.

hmm mine is home built now i rebuilt it, but the motherboard was reman and its socket 1155 and intel core I7 with win 8.1 so should i just let it install the drivers is it new enough? the mobo is from 2013 it says.
