Hello guys,

I brought new laptop & it comes with no operating system installed.
I have old laptop and it has windows 8.1 32 bit installed with genuine retail product key. I have that product key in my email.

1) Now I want to install Windows 8 or 8.1 to my new laptop. I want to install 64 Bit windows now. Is it possible ? I heard 32 & 64 bit product keys are common.

2) How to remove the product key from old laptop ? I heard that I can not use 1 product key on 2 device at a same time.

3) Please guide me how can I use that product key to activate windows 8 on my new laptop ? I mean what are the steps ?

4) Also I don't have ISO of Windows 8 64 BIT. How can I download genuine windows 8 64 bit ISO ? Is there anyway to download it from Microsoft ?

Thank you in advance.... ;)

Also, to be legal you must uninstall it on your old laptop. May have to call the number to get it activated.

Yes.

If the Windows 8.1 installer does not accept your Windows 8/8.1 product key, it means that you have the wrong installation media.

I did something similar to this recently -- and the Win8.1 install accepted my Win8 retail product key without problems.

Also how to backup key of microsoft office 2010.

Don't know any way to actually "back it up". I went through this recently as I needed to do a clean install of Win8.1 -- which would entail reinstalling Office.

I downloaded and installed Belarc Advisor -- and upon running it, saw it display the Office key -- which I typed into a text file, so that I could later copy it into the installer. And while I do have the DVD with the key, it's in a closet somewhere and recovering the key this way is faster.
