So my issue is that I can't restore a system image I made. I was running 8.1 update 1 and created an image before trying to upgrade my Ubuntu to Fedora on the other side of the SSD.
I ended up screwing it all up in royal fashion somehow. Anyway, I deleted all of it, started fresh and installed via my DVD in UEFI mode (4 partitions so I know that's right.)
I then try to reboot to the DVD after install and restore my image. It ends up giving me the cryptic error 0x80004005 and says "The system image restore failed."
Afterwards, it seems that corrupts the UEFI somehow as it doesn't show up in the boot order when trying to get back into it. Anybody have any ideas on how to overcome this?
I'm definitely not averse to any cmd work but I haven't seen anything that can help me so far.
Edit- I have also wiped it clean and tried to restore it without any partitions and then just one big one with NTFS all with diskpart. Just nothing working.
