I need help setting up my Windows 8.1 computer. Should i install updates first, or what? I had to do a Refresh of the system.

The updates will take a long time.
Especially the latest.--KB3000850.

I know. I hate resetting and refreshing computers. You have to do everything over again. I had problems getting it to sleep, and when it would sleep, it would power off in restart mode. Then, it restarted itself. So, Acer suggested a BIOS update, which I did. Then, everything started to act funny, so I did a factory reset. I'm finally getting it back in working order again.

You might want to consider using Macrium Reflect in the future.
I use the paid standard version because it has a boot time recovery menu.

Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download

You just make an image when things are running good & when problems occur just insert the USB with the image on it & restart & use the boot time menu to restore to good working order.

It takes me about 25 minutes to restore using it.

David, it's saying it can't complete the updates. Undoing changes.

Some people have had the same issue.

Mine installed nicely.

Maybe someone here can help you with that.

I would suggest restarting & trying it again.
It might help. ?:confused:
