where to download bootsect.exe for windows 8.1

Hi. I'm currently using lenovo laptop running on windows 8.1 but i've some problem during startup. It says :

FATAL ERROR: One or more pointer table key is invalid. Modification could be unsafe.

So i searched on some websites and the problem is with the bootsect.exe. so i need to copy the bootsect.exe to my system32 so it can work .
Can anyone help me to solve this?

If you are running Windows 8.1 in UEFI mode, Bootsect.exe is not operational.

What does the Recovery system do? I have not seen that type of error message, but have you been seeing any problems with the hard drive?

If you are the one posting about using Bootsect.exe to make a Recovery Drive, you do not really need it.

The thing is. I need to install win8 to my laptop. But because of the error , i couldnt proceed.

I tried to boot using bios setting and it didnt load the win8 installer

Are you trying to create a USB bootable flash drive to install with?

If so, there are some simple instructions using Diskpart. There is a tutorial on the forum and we can repeat those instructions, and some folks use Rufus.

The important thing is to format the drive as Fat32.
