How do I flush the SSD on a 1TB Hybrid drive?

How do I flush the SSD on a 1TB Hybrid drive?

My newest hard drive in my desktop PC is a Seagate 1TB Hybrid Drive.
It has an SSD and Mechanical hard drive, in the same case.

I somehow contracted Ebola of the Hard Drive (boot sector virus) and decided to just wipe the drive and start over.
That is proceeding nicely as I type this. I've not decided on an OS yet, so that's not part of the story.

My question is: "At this point, after an FDISK and DOS Format, is there anything in the solid state memory that should be or even can be 'Flushed' out. ??? And if so, how would I go about it ???

    I would appreciate any help.

    Thank You,

As far as I know, those drives are treated just like a normal hard drive. The integration is handled in the drive controller, so I would say you don't need to do anything more.

But someone else may know for sure.

You may want to visit a Seagate forum or ask them directly, they do seem to answer inquiries.

I solved my overall problem, by wiping the drive CLEAN and re-partitioning the HD with FDISK and then reformatting it with DOS Format. I's awfully "Old School", but works to not only restore a HD to like new condition, but it also blocks out any possibly BAD sectors.

So my problem with a boot sector virus, is in the past.

    Thanks all,

Defragging SSD Hybrid
I googled SSD Hybrid Defrag and read some of the answers on 'to defrag or not defrag' - there seems to be two minds on this. 1. Do not defrag the Hybrid at all, the SSD section is a virtual drive that automatically stores the files, progs that you use the most for hi speed access. Any attempt...
