Reinstalling Windows 8 Upgrade (from Windows XP)

I had Windows XP installed on my PC and when Windows 8 came out, there was a cheaper Windows 8 PRO Upgrade DVD version for those who had XP and Windows 7. I bought it and installed the Windows 8 and everything was fine.
Now I want to reinstall (fresh installation) Windows 8 on my PC. My question is, do I need to install Windows XP again and then use Windows 8 PRO Upgrade DVD to install it again with the Windows 8 activation key? Or can I just put the Windows 8 Upgrade DVD in my PC and make a fresh install?

Side question for those who have Windows 8 in their companies. Is it legal to update Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 because the activation key will be different then one on the box? Will the activation key change at all?

No there is just Windows 8 now. That Upgrade DVD just removed the Windows XP putted it in that Windows.old folder and installed the Windows 8. It was a cheap way for Microsoft to get people to go to Windows 8 from XP.

if You Will Custom Install Windows XP On Different Partition Then you Will have your Old Windows 8 And Windows XP Both
So When You Boot Your Computer The Boot manager will Open and then you Can Choose wether you want to Boot From XP Or Windows 8
Any Questions Do Ask
Thanks,Brandon

Let me set my question a little bit better.
Windows 8 Upgrade DVD required you to have Windows XP or 7 on your PC in order to install it (that is upgrade it). I dont want to have XP on my PC again or make a dual boot. What I want is to reinstall my Windows 8 again. Do a fresh install of it. Know, I got Windows 8 activation key when I bought it. What I want to know is can i put a Windows 8 instalation DVD and use that activation key. If I have the key then I should be able to use it when reinstalling with regular bought Windows 8 DVD (not the Upgrade one), right?

Also what I want to know is if I can use my Windows 8 key on Windows 8.1 instalation DVD? Or I have to use Windows Store to upgrade to Windows 8.1?
Also does the activation key change when I update from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 because this is for my company PC and you have to have the same key as on the box you bought when the Inspection comes so they dont charge me for a mistake.

How do you download Windows 8.1 and clean install Windows 8.1, if you have a Windows 8 product key? -> link

Another option for a fresh install is to wipe the partition, boot with the win8 upgrade dvd
If it says it cannot find your original OS, then you should have an option to browse for it, put in your winXP disk if you have one then select that drive, then if it accepts it, it will ask for the win8 dvd again and will continue from there.

This is how it used to work to upgrade from 2000 to XP, and XP to Vista, have never tried it after that.

If you do not have an XP cd, then theres no point in this option.

This property does not exist in the Windows 8 setup.

If you are using an upgrade product key and if Windows 8 setup cannot find your original OS.

3. When the clean install is finished, if you check in System, you will see that your Windows 8 upgrade may not be activated yet.

But if you do a clean installation of Windows 8.1 and you are using a Windows 8 upgrade product key.

How to Do a Clean Install of Windows 8 or Windows 8.1

If you have a retail Windows 8 product key and want to clean install Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Update, then you would need to enter a generic key below to install unactivated with, and change the product key later on in step 22 below to activate with your Windows 8 key.
