I recently bought a new computer that came with Windows 8.
About an hour ago I installed CyberLink PowerDirector 11 but every time I open it, it would crash my entire PC.
I used to have the same program on my old laptop and it would run just fine.
Here are the specifications of my computer:

OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: AMD FX 8300 Eight-Core Processor 3.30 GHz
Installed memory(RAM): 12.0 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 255 2GB

The latest version is 12 and does have 64 bit version.
However, you might want to update the video driver first to see if it works. If not, turn off any anti virus program and re-install power director.

I tried updating and reinstalling the program but it didn't work. I can't even run the program. It starts loading and then after the first 10 seconds it would just freeze.

Right click on the program and set to run in compatibility mode as Windows 7 to see if it would run. Other than that, you might have to upgrade it to version 12.

EDIT: You might also want to go to their website forum, you'll get better answer there.

I tried upgrading to version 12 but it would just give me the loading screen and it would crash on it. If I try to run it again nothing would show up and it would make my PC crash :/

UPDATE: I actually forgot to uninstall the PD 11 and that's why PD 12 would not start. Or at least that's what I think because the bug is gone now that I uninstalled PD 11
