Dell Windows 8 preinstalled laptop downgraded to windows 7

Hi All,
My situation may look funny but please do help. I have purchased Dell Inspiron online from Dell website, the laptop arrived with windows 8 pre installed (Home edition). I had trouble installing few softwares, hence I downgraded my laptop to windows 7.. The mistake is that I didnt take a back up of the product key nor did I create a recovery disk. Now I am running on windows 7.. Can Anyone help me how do I go back to Windows 8.. I checked with Dell they said they have to send the recovery disk to my postal address. Which I am not currently residing.. Can anyone help me solve my problem.. Thanks a ton in advance..

Will Dell not accept a change of address?

Here is a link at Dell where you can request a recovery disk. It was free for me. I used this link a few days ago. It is for the U.S. and Canada only.
They FedEx'ed me a Windows 8.1 OEM recovery DVD and a Drivers DVD.

I just read the info about your postal address. Sorry. If anyone else needs Dell disks and your PC is still covered by a warranty, the link above will get them to you.

Do you have parents or friends living the US?

Since Dell installed an OEM version of Windows, product key should be embedded in your computer bios. When you do get a copy of Windows 8, it will read the product key and activate the install. To view your product key, you can run the SHOWKEY.VBS script that's in this thread link:
