I have the dell inspiron 15r 7520. I am planning of installing an mSATA drive into the laptop(I'll have to change the daughterboard and in the process of doing the same). So my question is what is the process of making my laptop boot from the mSATA drive and if I'm successful in doing so, will I be getting the genuine windows 8 OS that came pre-installed with my laptop?

It could be done but Dell doesn't recommend it. Whether your recovery disks will work, I do not know. You may question this on the Dell forum
Suppose I am successfull in making the msata drive as the boot drive and the hard drive as storage, will I be able to install games and other stuffs into the hard drive. Or I'll have to install them in the ssd drive as it will be the boot drive then?

You could save your stuff on the hard drive as usual.

Probably the last question- My OS came pre-installed and I don't have a reinstallation disk with me. If I create a recovery disc now, will I be able to use it to at least install windows 8(forget about the genuineness) in the mSATA ssd drive? If I'm not wrong there is a factory image of windows 8 installation file hidden in my laptop, right? Can that be somehow transferred to the ssd?

There is a recovery partition on the present hard drive and cannot be moved to the ssd. As for being able to use the recovery disks to restore factory reset because of the hardware change it would be advisable to pose this question on the Dell forum. You may, repeat may be able to make an image backup of the OS to an external hard drive using Macrium Reflect (Free) and restore to the new ssd.
